Far Away So Close

In this month’s issue of the creative forward U_Mag, Leer MGT Model, Alex, and the “sonical” Jaimz Deen were featured in a spread the mag entitled “Far Away, So Close“. The shoot took place on the river banks of Red Hook Brooklyn in an exhibit-like, vintage street car. With climate conditions damn near, artic, the two braved it out and captured some great moments, rocking “the new eye of fashion”, Brain Lichtenberg , Alex & Chloe and creatively styled by myself . This marks the beginning of many magazine features for the company and the birth of a legacy. Thanks again to the good folks of U_Mag for the feature and the support.

I apologize for not posting in a month but, I have been consumed with my dream of starting a image management company. We will be representing models of all kinds, photographers, stylists, and graphic designers. I REALLY love Method Atelier and will resume regular posting very soon but, as you know with debuting such a company takes much preparation. From the future into the present, Android Homme draws from what lies ahead in footwear and fashion rather than where we’ve come. The start-up clothing company debuted their online store, on Christmas. Their high-tech, high-end shoe line that are impressively designed and colored are just the start to what I think will be a great love affair between us, consumers and the “robotic” company. They have a few limited edition trinkets also available like: bags, wallets and tees. Might I suggest some hot frames next, fellas?

The designers of Whyred are “pro-living”, meaning they do want their shoppers be weighed down by the sways of life and just to enjoy the big picture. The no-fuss approach have sustained the company since 1999 and have become more popular amongst fellow emerging designers lately, from low to high-end.

The “Cody” coat above is an amazing looking, double-breasted, wool coat that is easily paired with the dress ups and dress downs. The tailored denims are the “Syd Knees” named after Syd Barret of Pink Floyd are slim fit with narrow legs and an tailored interior. Check out Whyred, if you’ve begun to question why are you so obsessed with all the extras of finding great, long-lasting clothes.

Mama Anders Design

You would never guess what textile these track jackets and hoodies that I’m introducing to you are made of. They are plastic, have big mouths and never close their legs. Two, guesses. Go ahead, try again. Ok, get ready……..SEX DOLLS! Yes, blow up, sex dolls. Creator and designer of Mama Anders, Sander Reijgers, says of his collection: “These dolls are so ugly and vulgar that turning them into something beautiful has become a challenge for me. The doll is a means to convey something else”. He surprising does a marvelous job of “desexing” the dolls into great works of wearable art. You can see more of his work at Sander’s Myspace.

No, but, I think this would make a great stocking stuffer for the holidays.

O’Kay O’Day

I usually don’t write about gossip, I just read it but, I have to comment on the bright, refreshened, Aubrey O’Day. The former Danity Kane member was recently out sporting an unblemished look. It’s funny that she now changes to a more softer look after being ejected from the group a few months back, when she was repeatedly asked to turn it down, by Diddy. I wonder is it a “in your face” statement to Diddy or is she genuinely changing her image, maybe for her solo career. Either way, she looks great.
